Layout 1I came to know Christ as a freshman at Arizona State University, a large, secular school that should have torn me away from God rather than throw me into His arms. I should not be here, but I am a miracle child.

I found Christian Challenge when curiosity led me to the lonely building across the parking lot of my church. I became fast friends with the students there, was given the opportunity to serve as a leader, and never left the ministry. God used Christian Challenge to fashion me into a disciple.

Soon after graduating, I experienced God’s call to full-time vocational ministry. He told me that my calling was to minister out of who I am, and being the product of collegiate ministry, I realized that God was calling me back to the campus. Today, I serve as a campus missionary with Christian Challenge at ASU, the same place where God saved me and grew me.

My new leadership role made me realize that I needed more training. I applied to the Arizona Campus of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary just days before the deadline and found myself a student again. In my two short years here, God has used the seminary to equip me and give me greater confidence and effectiveness in my work on campus. I have become not only a better minister but also a better disciple.

The Cooperative Program has its fingerprints all over my life. It supports both my ministry at Christian Challenge and my training at Golden Gate, and without it, I would not be a disciple of Christ or a ministry leader.

I am Madison Pinto, and I am the CP.

Because you and your church give, You are the CP.
